Introducing Bob Buchheim, St. Vivian Principal

Welcome Mr. Buchheim!

I am honored to have been chosen as the next principal of St. Vivian. Ms. Markham has been a terrific steward of the school and I look forward to collaborating with her to prepare for the upcoming school year.

I am a graduate of the University of Cincinnati (bachelors) and the University of Dayton
(Masters). I have served in public education as a principal and or assistant principal at all
grades levels as well as central office (most recently at Mt. Healthy South Elementary School).
When I decided to retire from public education this summer, my one goal was to find a school
that felt like home. My faith and my family have led me to this moment. My wife Sherry and
I will be celebrating our 35th anniversary this June. We have two children (Tyler and Caitlin)
and are truly blessed to be the grandparents to 5 wonderful grandchildren (AJ, Isaac, Kaia,
Zeke and Luke).

I am a product of Catholic education. My wife and I both attended Catholic elementary
schools. My first year of teaching took place at Sacred Heart of Jesus Elementary School in
Fairfield. Our son is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and our daughter graduated
from the University of Dayton. Catholic education is in our blood.

I appreciate the great responsibility to lead such an outstanding school. Together, we will
strive to reach new heights academically and to expand our Catholic faith. I promise to give
my all to serve the needs of this community and specifically the students, staff and families of
St. Vivian for many years to come. Thank you for this opportunity!
